Social Media Week Lagos – Social Media for Changemakers: Rules of Engagement

Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas,

innovations and insights into how social media and technology are changing business, society

and culture around the world.

Social Media Week Lagos was the first of its kind to take place in Africa in 2013 and I was privileged to not

only be an event organiser but also be part of the Social Media Week Lagos content production team.

Speaking alongside Kwabena Boateng (Ghana Decides), Patricia Patton (BoomerWhiz), and Roxanne Scott (Whose World)

the workshop gave burgeoning change makers the tools to be multi-channeled with their message and maximize progress

and engagement with their audience by following five integral themes: Empowering a Community, Doing the Impossible,

Solving A Problem, Personal Power/Passion and Creating a Movement.
